Clinical Features and Treatments Progression of Gastrointestinal Neuroendocrine Neoplasm

Neuroendocrine neoplasm(NEN)is derived from cells of amine precursor uptake and decarbosylase(APUD).Gastrointestinal tract is the predilection site of NEN.There is considerable variability in the biological characteristics,grade of malignancy,pathological characteristics and prognosis.Most of the patients have no typical clinical manifestations.Common treatments include surgery,chemotherapy,radiotherapy,endoscopic and radiological intervention.In addition,novel therapies targeting deregulated pathways in tumors may offer therapeutic promise.However,unified understanding on the therapy and prognosis of NEN has not been reached in domestic and foreign research field yet.
