Analysis of industrial wastewater pollution and its influencing factors in Guangxi province

In order to combat industrial wastewater pollution and maintain ecological safety,the variation rules and characteristics of the wastewater discharged from industrial companies in Guangxi province were discussed based on the analysis of industrial wastewater and major pollutants emission during 2002-2010 in Guangxi.Besides,an inter-annual comparison of scale of industrial economy,structure of industry,investment for pollution control and reutilization rate of industrial wastewater was carried out; finally,the influence of the above factors on industrial wastewater discharge were analyzed.The results showed that: in Guangxi province,arsenic in industrial wastewater should be emphatically monitored; agricultural and sideline foods processing,chemical manufacturing were pollution-intensive industries; textile was a high energy consumption and high-polluting industry.It could draw a conclusion that,taking measures such as: adjusting industrial structure,carrying out sustained investment for pollution management and improving reutilization rate of industrial wastewater,could reduce the discharge amount of industrial wastewater on the premise of expending the scale of industrial economy.
