The Concisely Analysis to Polyethylene Pipe in Hydrostatic Strength

Abstract

Hydrostatic strength is an important performance to polyethylene pips in the related standards.Through analysis about the polyethylene pipes in hydrostatic strength testing,the formula of axial,radial and hoop stress were inferred.According to the test pressure and nominal pressure of pipes,calculated and compared their numerical value.At the same time,given an explanation on the origin of the formula of hydrostatic strength testing,specified the importance of hydrostatic strength testing for polyethylene pips.
