Abstract
Northeast China, including Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces, is one of the most important wetland distribution areas.The major wetland types are freshwater marshes and lakes, and the total area is up to 6.74 million hm~2.Based on the analysis of wetland area, the characteristics, construction of wetland nature reserves and major threats problems the wetland ecosystem is facing, this paper,while taking into account the present state of the wetland resoures in northeast China,puts forward some suggestions on wetland conservation and management.
