Abstract

By comprehensively analyzing the effect of highway construction projects on environmental safety, an index system to assess the effect of highway construction projects on environmental safety was build up. Then, a matter-element model to assess the effect of highway construction projects on environmental safety was constructed by introducing the multi-factor evaluation method to this assessment. Thus, the objective assessment of the impact of multi-index highway construction project on environmental safety was transformed into single objective decision-making, and the assessment results can more directly show the effect of highway construction projects on environmental safety. Finally, the impact of a certain bridge construction project on environment is assessed with this model. It is concluded that this method is scientific and feasible.
