Abstract
In this study, flow monodisperse polystyrene microspheres were synthesized by dispersion polymerization,by using styrene as raw materials,AIBN as initiator,PVP as stabilizer,DVB as crosslinker and ethanol as the reaction medium. The size of microsphere is about 5.4 μm.Next, the effects of reaction time on conversion ratio;DVB、PVP on particle size and coefficient of variation;initiator and styrene monomer on particle size were also studied in this paper. Results from this study showed that flow polystyrene microspheres with the size of 5.4 μm can be produced by the approach of dispersion polymerization,in which microspheres diameter coefficient of variation is less than 10%.
