Abstract
For better planning marine management and enhancing administrative staff's perception of water, this paper presents a three-dimensional marine management information system for Xiamen harbor and aims to achieve a three-dimensional marine simulation system by using virtual reality technology and database technology. The key technology is proposed to build a three-dimensional system, which includes key technology of visual modeling, key technology of big scene data calls and three-dimensional scene driven key technology. It utilizes Vega Prime particle system to simulate natural phenomena such as rain and snow. The application shows that the system can provide ancillary support for Xiamen harbor marine management.
