Study on Edged City Joining Metropolitan Area

With functional improving and perfecting of central city economic radiation,the cities around metropolitan area gained development opportunity.In this paper,Tongling city was taken as an example to study how to join metropolitan area and realize its economic growth.Tongling city was close to Yangtze River delta and had fine industrial foundation.The city already entered generally acknowledged economic takeoff stage.Facing opportunity of expansion of Yangtze River delta metropolitan area,Tongling city should strive for joining Yangtze River delta metropolitan area actively and make great effort to become the economic backyard of Yangtze River delta,which would help Tongling city take lead in rise of central China.
