Abstract

The prestack reverse-time depth migration scheme was studied based on elastic wave equation for two wavefield components recorded in 2D isotropic media. The algorithms relevant to prestack elastic wave reverse-time depth migration scheme were derived on the basis of elastic wave equation and the solution of solving relevant problems were studied. Then, the prestack reverse-time depth migration for 2D multicomponents data were complemented. Finally, model test and real data processing was carried out.The results show that the scheme isn t influenced by stratigraphic dip and is suited to processing seismic multi-components data from the areas with steep subsurface structures and big variation of horizontal velocities.
