Abstract

After discussing the demand for logistics talent and the current situation of its training and based on the basic theories on discipline and specialty,the paper analyzes the reasons behind the existence of the logistics discipline and the necessity and feasibility of its construction and finds that constructing the logistics discipline is the force driving logistics talent training and an invitable path to closing the gap between China and logistics-advanced countries.Further it proposes it is not only feasible but also the irreversible trend to integrate the logistics-related contents into a specialized discipline.
