Abstract
Heavy metals contained in sewage sludge are the main limiting factors in the sludge disposal and reclamation. The transference regularity of heavy metals from sludge and the influencing factors were discussed in aspects of sludge land utilization, incineration and construction material manufacture. The safety assessment of the three sludge disposal methods was carried out, with the suggestions for the noticeable problems in sludge recycling use.
