Abstract
Objective:To study the relationship between detection of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection with 13 C urea breath test( 13 C UBT)and gastric cancer. Methods: 13 C UBT were carried out in 53 cases of gastric cancer patients at 3 days before operation and 10 days after operation.Thirty six healthy individuals were detected as normal control. The rate of H.pylori infection in gastric cancer patients was calculated and compared. Results:The rate of H.pylori infection of the healthy control group was 0,but that of the early or advanced gastric cancer groups were 75% and 65.8% respectively (P0.05).Conclusion:H.pylori infection is an important trigger factor in the sequence of occurrence of gastric cancer, and it is very important in the development of early gastric cancer.
