Abstract
The influence of soil resistivity and coating defects on IR drop error in cathodic protection(CP)potential measurement was studied by theoretical methods.Calculation modeling was established and proofed by some test data for resistance factor of IR drop.In addition, engineering prediction methods for IR drop were also discussed.
