Abstract
Aimed at huge investment and more serious environmental pollution afflicting conventional original coke quenching, this paper proposes the coke pressure quenching using water vapor pressure of the coke quenching, offers the comparison with coke wet quenching and coke dry quenching and gives the analysis of the effects of different coke quenchings on pore structure of coke. The results show that coke wet quenching gives more micropores and microcrack counts of coke and poor coke quality while coke dry quenching boasts fewer micropores and microcrack counts of coke and better coke quality.Coke pressure quenching shows more micropores and fewer microcrack counts of coke and coke quality ranging between coke dry quenching and coke wet quenching. The study provides the basis for application and promotion of coke pressure quenching.
