Human telomerase catalytic subunit (e.g. human telomerase reverse transcriptase, hTERT)which is rate-limiting enzyme of telomerase, is consistent with expression of telomerase activity and specific for tumor?Some chemotherapic remedy, Chinese medicine, ribozyme and antisense oligos can inhibit expression of hTERT-mRNA and telomerase activity , slow the growth of tumor.
