Abstract
Compared to virtual design and traditional design,expounded the advantages of virtual design.Use SolidWorks as a platform of virtual design,3D modeling and parametric design for JMY240 locomotive axle gearbox,and use the function of virtual assembly in SolidWorks to instal and simulate the established model.And then completed 3D modeling of gearbox and design of virtual assembly,provided a strong technical support to be convenient,fast and accurate for researching and developing the products.
