Abstract
The time and spatial characteristics of red historic towns and villages refer to characteristics of time formation and geographical spatial distribution.It's found that most of the red historic towns and villages are form in the time of the Agrarian Revolutionary War and the Sino-Japanese War,and distributed mainly in the south,north and central of China.This article is helpful to the basic work of protection and utilization of the red historic towns and villages.
