Abstract
Objective To investigate the different factors and characteristics of lumbar Modic changes on MRI of low back pain patients. Methods The MRI scans of 223 patents with low back pain were reviewed retrospectively, and to assess the relevance of Modic changes with different age groups, weight and physical activity. Results 223 patients with lumbar in 61 cases(27.4%) presence of Modic changes, age affect Modic changes: old age groupmiddle-aged group and youth group(P0.05).Weight to Modic changes: the obese groupoverweightnormal group(P 0.05);physical activity to Modic changes: heavy manual labor group manual work grouplight work group(P 0.05).In the above-mentioned factors, the strongest correlation of age with Modic changes, followed by differences in weight, the amount of labor weakest. Conclusion Modic changes have many reasons, age, weight and physical activity have correlation.
