Abstract
To determine the reactivity of limestone used in WFGD(wet flue gas desulfurization)system, the dissolution model of limestone was built up based on film theory. The impact of pH value, temperature, particle size distribution, gypsum, fly ash,Al3+ and F-on the dissolution of limestone was investigated by pH-stat method.Model predictions were in good agreement with experimental data.It seems that lower pH value, higher reaction temperature and smaller particle size are favorable to limestone dissolution. Gypsum, fly ash,Al3+ or F-has a light inhibition effect on limestone dissolution and the aluminum/fluoride complexes inhibit the dissolution of limestone seriously.
