Abstract
An overview of the different types of wheat dwarfing genes,the major sources of dwarfing genes of different wheat varieties in China and its distribution in different wheat growing areas are provided,a systematic introduction of molecular markers of the major common dwarfing genes in wheat production and the recent progress to dwarfing genes molecular markers are given.
