Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK) for the correction of high myopia. Methods 90 eyes of 46 high myopia patients were divided into two groups:Ⅰ -6 25~-10 0 D, 63 eyes; Ⅱ≥-10 25 D, 27 eyes. Postoperative results with a follow up of at least one year were analyed. Results At postoperative 12 months the rates of uncorrected visual acuity equal or better than the best preoperative corrected visual acuity were 93 7% in group Ⅰ, and 88 9% in group Ⅱ. Corrected rate of ±1 0 D were 95 2% in group Ⅰ and 88 9% in group Ⅱ. No severe complications were observed in and after LASIK. Conclusion LASIK is an effective method to correct high myopia.\;
