Abstract
The combination of Fuzzy-PI controller and Smith predictor and the introduction of proper filter can make tuning of controller become easy and improve control performance for a process with a long pure dead-time. The simulation shows that the control structure for a process with a long pure dead-time is better than traditional Smith predictor at robust and resisting disturbance, and a kind of efficient and practical control measure for a process with a long pure dead-time is put forward.
