Abstract
Taking sandstone reservoir as an example, this paper introduces applying 3D seismic data to geostatistical reservoir model. This method can quantitatively predict sandstone distribution, evaluate the quality of sandstone distribution map, and estimate the success ratio of drilling exploration. The wave impedance converted from seismic reflection amplitude can be used as a supplement to sand prediction from geostatistical method. Through comparison, it shows that the uncertainty of reservoir prediction can be reduced by seismic data.
