Abstract
A pot experiment was carried out to explore the effect of simulated acid rain on the accumulation of nitrate and nitrite in the cabbage. The results indicated that concentration of fertilizer was the main factor in increasing contents of nitrate and nitrite in the cabbage. At the middle time, the accumulations of nitrate and nitrite were higher than those of other times. After that, the concentrations of nitrate and nitrite in the cabbage decreased. Under the same concentration of CO(NH2)2 condition, the effects of the simulated acid rain on the growth of cabbage, and the concentrations of nitrate and nitrite in the cabbage followed:pH4.5pH5.6pH3.5.According to the security assessment standard, the concentrations of nitrate in the cabbage were higher than those of the hygienical criterion stipulated under pH 4.5 of simulated acid rain condition or high concentration of CO(NH2)2.The concentrations of nitrite in the cabbage were higher than those of safety requirements under pH 4.5 condition.Hazard of nitrite was enhanced with higher concentration of CO(NH2)2 under pH 5.6 of simulated acid rain.
