Abstract

Gravity separation and flotation areadopted in processing wolframite and scheeliterespectively. The recovery rate and grade are not satisfactory because gravity separation cannot recover the fine grain of wol-framite efficiently and flotation is difficult to separate scheelite from calcium minerals. It is necessary to study on the surface properties of wolframite and scheelite in detail. This paper introduces the research status of wolframite and scheelite in surface features. Factors includingsurface key fracture, surface chemical composi-tion, surface anisotropy, surface electrical properties and surface dissolved components on tungsten floatability are expounded. The future research direction and method of the surface characteristics of tungsten are prospected.
