Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value of 16-detector row spiral CT in coronary artery diseases. Methods: The records of 23 patients who were suspected to suffer from coronary artery diseases and underwent multislice spiral CT coronary angiography (MSCTCA) were collected. All patients also underwent selective coronary angiography (SCA) before or after MSCTCA. The accuracy of MSCTCA in the diagnosis of coronary artery stenosis was analyzed by compared with the results of SCA. Results: A total of 92.7% coronary artery segments could be evaluated. The sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values of MSCTCA were 90.5%, 96.5%, 90.5%, and 96.5% in the diagnosis of moderate coronary artery stenosis and 85.7%, 97.2%, 75.0%, and 98.6 % in the diagnosis of severe coronary artery stenosis. Conclusion: 16-detector row spiral CT is helpful in the diagnosis of coronary artery diseases.
