Abstract
Forest certification was a mechanism in order to protect forest resource and improve forest management by measuring the market trade of forest products.Since the advent of the first forest certification system—FSC in early 90 years of the 20th century,there were more than 50 forest certification systems in the world,they have awarded more than 300×104 km2 certificated forest area through different ways.The first forest certification occurred in China in 2002,but the development was too slow.Some suggestions were put forward in this paper on the basis of analysis of the situation of global forest certification.
