Abstract
A buckling and post-buckling analysis is presented for an anisotropic laminated cylindrical shell of finite length to axial compression. The formulations are based on a boundary layer theory of thin shell's buckling which includes the effects of the nonlinear pre-buckling deformation, the nonlinear large deflection in the post-buckling range and the initial geometrical imperfection of the shell. The analysis uses a singular perturbation technique which takes deflection as perturbation parameter to determine the buckling load and post-buckling equilibrium paths. The large deflections of formulations are divided into a series of linear in the course of solving. The results are gotten according to the number given. The author thinks that a simple and accurate method is presented on the analysis of buckling and post-buckling.
