Abstract

The purpose of the research is to improve the effect of natural ventilation.Using the computational fluid dynamics and setting plank-style buildings as the main focus, the paper analyzes the capacity of wind-induced natural ventilation in buildings of different height, different wind speed and its regularity of change. The data of wind tunnel experiment are used to testify this numerical method. The results indicate the best extrinsic condition of wind-induced natural ventilation is at 4/5 height of the building and the effects of wind-induced natural ventilation in the middle part of the windward is better than those in the side part of the windward;the regularity is similar in buildings of different height. The change of the pressure difference coefficient is low in different wind speed. The conclusion is that the numerical method is suited for research on distribution of wind pressure and natural ventilation;the effects of wind-induced natural ventilation gradually increase as the height of the building heightens or the wind speed quickens.
