Abstract
The effects of Sb on the corrosion behavior of Mg-6Al alloy in 3.5%NaCl solution are studied by corrosion tests and microstructure analysis, together with corrosion rate calculation and corrosion morphology observing. The results show that the microstructure of Mg-6Al alloy can be refined after the addition of 0.5% Sb(mass fraction). The corrosion rate is reduced, the corrosion morphology is improved, and the corrosion resistance of the alloy is enhanced obviously.
