Abstract

AbstrcatThrough sandy desertification land types classification system based on the percentages of wind-scoured land or quicksand area, vegetation overlay and upper sight, is put forward the classification system for sandy desertification dynamic change types by sandy desertification dynamic change range. Using MSS satellite image data in 1975 and ETM image data in 1987 and 2000 as remote sensing information source, and with field validation, the sandy desertification land types is suggested in this paper. Under the support of MAPGIS system, we did the sandy desertification land types dynamic change research of the joint of ERKOS Plateau and Loess Plateau in 1975, 1987 and 2000, and drew the conclusion as: developing between 1975 and 1987, and reversed between 1987 and 2000,and the same between 1975 and 2000.
