Abstract
Objective: To study the effects of decreasing blood lipid by extract from Swertia mussotii Franch in rat with hyperlipidemia.Methods: A total of 60 male rats of species of kunming were randomly divided into normal control group,model group,positive control group,high,medium and low-dose group.The hyperlipidemia rat model was established by feeding with high-fat diet,and continuous feeding 29 days,respectively,the content of indexes as follows was measured,the total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein(LDL) and high density lipoprotein(HDL) in serum.Results: After feeding 29 days,the positive control group,high,medium and low-dose group on the impact of serum high-fat model,the performance of the TC level,respectively,significantly(P 0.01) were reduced about 37%,51%,50%,70%;in TG levels,respectively,significantly(P 0.01) were reduced about 36%,50%,24%,12%;in HDL levels,were increased about 19%,5%,12%,14%;in LDL levels,respectively,were decreased significantly(P 0.01) about 36%,12%,18%,33%.Conclusions: Ethanol extracts of Swertia mussotii Franch was significantly effective of antihyperlipidemia on rats with experimental hyperlipemia.
