Abstract
Objective:To investigate the relation of blood lipid level to the severity and prognosis in patients with hepatitis B.Methods:Serum levels of total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein(HDL),low density lipoprotein(LDL),very low density lipoprotein(VLDL),lipoprotein α(Lp α),apolipoprotein A Ⅰ(APOA Ⅰ),and apolipoprotein B(APOB) in 240 patients with hepatitis and 50 normal subjects, including 48 cases with acute hepatitis,90 chronic hepatits,40 severe type hepatitis, and 62 posthepatitic cirrhosis were determined with RI 1000TM whole autochemical analyzer. Results:Except for acute hepatitis group, all lipid parameters were obviously higher in other hepatitis groups than those in control group( P 0.01),and they were decreased with the aggravation of liver function and the progression of hepatic fibrosis. Conclusion:Monitoring of blood lipid levels is helpful in evaluating the degree of hepatocellular damage and the prognosis in patients with viral hepatitis.
