Research on Technology for VoIP to Traverse NAT

Abstract

The video audio frequency stream media technology is developed rapidly in recent year,which has been already used abroad on Internet.However,because of security and for saving IP address,many corporations and LANs are connected with Internet by using Firewall/NAT(Network Address Translation).Based on the theory and application of NAT technology,problems that because of NAT characteristics,the host can not actively build communications to the NAT rear host are analyzed and pointed out.Combining current situation of the technology for through NAT,this paper analyzes the advantage and disadvantage of various technologies for through NAT,gives a new plan for though NAT,and proposes a scheme for practical application.
