Investigation on Resources of Medical Plants in Kaiyang County

To provide scientific references for the utilization and sustainable development of resources of Chinese herbal medicine,the open field survey,specimens collection,classification and identification,folk interview and data textual were made to explore the species,geographical distribution and national medicine of medicinal plants in Kaiyang County.The results showed that 795 species of medicinal plants in Kaiyang were found.There were 33 species of new medicinal resources and nine species of National or Guizhou protected medicinal plants,two species of endemic medicinal plants in Guizhou and 226 species of minority medicinal plants.Conclusion: The species of the medical plants in Kaiyang were abundant and most of them were national medicines,development and use of them should be processed under the precondition of protecting the medicinal plants.
