Abstract

Phytoremediation of contaminated soils usually associates with the activity of plant-associated microorganisms. The root-dependent changes in the soil microflora composition and the dynamics of contaminants in the rhizosphere may be essential processes in successful phytoremediation of contaminated soils. It’s obvious that the rhizosphere leads an important role in the phytoremediation of soil pollution. Advances in the research of the dynamic of heavy metals and degradation of organic contaminants in the rhizosphere and the phytoremediation of contaminated soils are comprehensively presented.
