Abstract
This paper studies the intraband cro ss talk mechanisms in wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) ring networks.In WDM ri ng networks,the crosstalk analysis can be simplified to the single crosstalk sou rce case.The exact BER expressions of single crosstalk path are derived from the probability density function of the output current in the optical receiver.The calculated crosstalk penalties are in good agreement with the experimental data.
