Abstract

In order to explore the yield of green manure and soil improvement under different cropping pattern, choose the suitable cropping method for green manure, the mixed cropping, monocropping and intercropping were conducted to study their effects on green manure production during 2010-2011.The result showed that the yield was the highest under mixed cropping(1 836.1 kg/667m2) and it also decreased the soil bulk density by 0.18 g/cm3,compared to other cropping patterns.Soil organic matter, total nitrogen, available nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium were increased by 1.3 g/kg,0.06 g/kg,25.0 mg/kg,2.6 mg/kg and 26 mg/kg,respectively in mixed cropping. Therefore, mixed cropping could be cultivated to a large scale to increase the green manure yield, and the development of green manure intercropping in high cropping index region could also have great use of land, increase economic crops and increase the soil productivity.
