Abstract

Catalytic dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene is an important method for production of styrene. This paper introduced the technology of the selective oxidation of hydrogen and dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene that attracted more and more attention recently, mainly depicting the technology principle, typical dehydrogenation reactor, and the study and development situation of the catalysts. Also, some advices on using this technology in the new project of styrene and in the reconstruction of the existing styrene projects were prospected.
