Abstract
There are plenty of historical events about emperor-concubines love in Chinese history.The love stories are also splendidly described in poems,novels and dramas.Embraced a historical origin and cultural tradition,the kunqu opera Longevity Palace makes five important artistic innovations.It is an epic masterpiece with double-line structure,and describes the love story between Emperor Li Longji and Imperial concubine Yang Yuhuan with a brand new perspective.The opera describes Li and Yang as two understanding friends,explores follow-up of the lost love,and reveals the unfavorable influence of their love.
