Abstract

The effects of the aggregate type and particle size on the main performance of pervious concrete are researched. The results show that in the same aggregate size the total porosity, the permeation coefficient and the change degree of compressive strength of the pervious concrete fabricated with crushed rock are obviously larger than that of the compressive strength of the pervious concrete fabricated with pebbles, and the total porosity and the permeation coefficient increase with the increase of aggregate particle size.Under the same circumstances the compressive strength of the pervious concrete is nonlinearly changing with the increase of the aggregate size, and the compressive strength of the pervious concrete has the optimal particle size.
