Abstract
To realize stable primary combustion of pasty propellant ramjet at the condition of constant flow and flow regulation,a mode of adaptive burning surface was proposed. The combustion experiments were performed based on the experimental system. The results show that the experimental motor operated well with the stable propellant supply, appropriate starting sequence and occasion of propellant supply and valid means of anti-backfire.The chamber pressure can keep stable and was close to the design value after a process of adjustment. The mode of adaptive burning surface can maintain balance between the propellant supply and burning to realize stable primary combustion by the adaptive adjustment of burning surface.
