On the Frontier Defending Poems of the Ming Dynasty

It is always regarded that frontier fortress was a tipical theme in piping time of the Tang Dynasty.In this paper,the frontier defending poems of the Ming Dynasty are deemed as its continuation and development in a new situation.There were two serieses:one was about the north frontier defence,which followed the traditional style of the Tang,the other was about the southeast coast defence,which was characterized by the flavour of sea breeze and alleys.The latter one offered something fresh and new to readers.
