A Review of the Research on Zhang Shenfu and Marxism in China

Zhang Shenfu,who was one of the earliest founders of the Communist Party of China.,was once a pioneer-style political and academic celebrity and well-known for a time in the history of Modern China.During his early life,he was active in academic and political circles while he was unknown to the public,and forgotten by history in his later life.This essay mainly classifies and analyzes the present condition of the research on thought of Zhang Shenfu at home and abroad,and argues that it is of vital academic value and practical significance to explain his study,propaganda and dissemination of Marxism and his contribution to theoretical research of Marxism in China,which offers theoretical basis for the research on his three-in-one Sinicization of combining Confucianism,leninism and Russell thinking.
