Abstract
This paper introduced the basic concept and cycloid equation of cycloid gear,and built a template file of cycloid in UG environment and made a cycloid gear development based on UG/Open API and VC++6.0.So that the 3D model of cycloid gear had been accomplished by inputting parameters into the dialogue box
