Abstract

On the basis of the production conditions of slab caster,the heat transfer mode of slab solidification was established by using 2D finite element technology. The main factors impacting the slab temperature out continuous casting machine were analyzed. And the influences of drawing speed,degree of superheat,and water on continuous casting billet out machine temperature were obtained. Through analyzing exit temperature and the change rule of thickness of billet shell in the whole solidification of molten steel,properly improving the drawing speed,the controlling two cold water quantity and turning off the two cold end cooling water can improve the castings temperature.
