Abstract
Household consumption expenditures is the important part of the final consumption expenditures and plays a significant role in the development of national economy in China.However,since reform and opening-up policy,with the constant change and development of economy and society,the consumption expenditure gap between urban and rural residents has emerged wider and wider in many aspects.On the basis of the comparative analysis of the consumption expenditure gap between urban and rural residents,the paper elaborates the reasons for the consumption expenditure gap between urban and rural residents at length and makes countermeasures and suggestions specifically on reducing the consumption expenditure gap between urban and rural residents.
