Abstract

The Sr2SiO4∶Bi3+ phosphor was synthesized by sol-gel method.The X-ray diffraction pattern shows that the structure of Sr2SiO4∶Bi3+ phosphor well agrees with the Sr2SiO4 host.The emission and excitation spectra were investigated.The emission spectrum of Sr2SiO4∶Bi3+ phosphor shows one band centred at 441nm,and the excitation spectrum for 441nm emission has one band centred at 376nm.The effect of Bi3+ concentration on the emission spectrum of Sr2SiO4∶Bi3+ phosphor was researched.The results show that the emission peak intensity of Sr2SiO4∶Bi3+ phosphor firstly increases,then decreases with the increasing Bi3+ concentration,and reaches the maximum value at 3mol% Bi3+.With the condition of immitting the charge compensation,the emission peak intensity of Sr2SiO4∶Bi3+ is enhanced,and the effect is most distinctly with immitting Li+.
