3D CAD Technique and Shape Forming

With the development of CAD technology, 3D solid model has been playing key role in the whole process of design and production instead of the secondary position in the past. According to the actual and current situation of CAD technology, we made a systematic and deep analysis of CAD modeling technology and method from the point of theory and application. Also according to the principle of shape design in 3D modeling, we discussed about the teaching modes which can train the abstract, visualization and innovation thinking by using 3D CAD system through the combination of forming theory and 3D CAD application. We put forward a method which can combine the basic elements of shape forming and CAD modeling, and we introduced the thought into the teaching by examples.
