Construction of Learning Society and Evolution of Higher Education

Learning Society is not only a new historic period gradually shaped along with the development of the human society up to now, but first and foremost also one of the indications for the realization of a well off society in China. This paper puts forward the significance of constructing the learning society by means of analyzing the features of learning organization and society. It is so predominantto construct the learning society by seizing the opportunity, developing the function of higher education, expanding the size of higher learning institutions, exploiting the potentialities of their roles, upgrading the quality of education, and building the campus culture. After all, only by doing so can the role of higher education in the construction of learning society be brought into full play.
